Facial Liposuction is minor surgery that Dr. Robinson performs in-office, typically taking 45 minutes to an hour from start to finish.

Dr. Robinson uses local anesthesia to numb the area and light sedation to increase your comfort. The procedure typically takes 45 minutes to an hour.

He makes a small incision — either beneath your chin near your lower jaw, or inside your mouth where your lower lip meets your gums — to keep any scarring hidden.

A thin tube called a micro-cannula is inserted into the opening and gently guided to the targeted area of excess fat.

As Dr. Robinson manipulates this precision instrument, it delivers pulsating water to loosen excess fat from the surrounding tissue, simultaneously extracting it along with the fluid.

Sterile bandages absorb drainage from the incision, and a compression garment is fitted to protect the wound. Occasionally sutures are used; if so, they’re removed at a follow-up a few days later.
You may experience some mild discomfort, swelling or bruising during the healing process, all of which are easily controlled with mild medication. Any post-surgical symptoms should subside within a week or ten days, at which point you’ll be cleared to resume normal activities.
