Say goodbye to unsightly lesions, moles, warts and skin growths — using the latest laser and Dermabrasion techniques to restore your skin’s smooth, unblemished appearance.
When to Consider Blemish Removal
Restore Smooth, Unblemished Skin
It’s hard to ignore a lesion, mole, wart or cyst when it’s on one of your most visible areas. An unsightly blemish on your face, neck, chest or shoulders can be a blow to your self-esteem and make you self-conscious — and depending on its size and location, it might even leave you feeling unattractive.
On top of being annoying, blemishes that come in regular contact with clothing or other body parts can be subject to repeat irritation or injury. In the most severe cases, a strategically placed growth or lesion can reduce your mobility or even interfere with the proper function of your eyes or mouth.
Dr. Ernest B. Robinson has extensive training and vast experience performing delicate resurfacing procedures using the latest laser and Dermabrasion techniques to remove lesions and growths from the most sensitive areas — seemingly without a trace. We welcome patients from Aliso Viejo, Irvine, Laguna Hills, Laguna Niguel, Lake Forest and Mission Viejo.

02The Procedure
During Your Blemish Removal Procedure
For your in-office procedure, Dr. Robinson applies local anesthesia and then uses an abrading tool or laser light to remove the upper layers of skin — flattening the rough or elevated blemish and making it less prominent. The process can take anywhere from a few minutes to an hour or more, depending on the size and type of blemish being treated.
1
Local Anesthesia Applied
Dr. Robinson applies local anesthesia to the treatment area for your complete comfort. No general anesthesia or sedation is required for most blemish removals.
2
Laser or Dermabrasion Treatment
Using an abrading tool or laser light, Dr. Robinson carefully removes the upper layers of skin at the blemish site — flattening the rough or elevated growth and making it significantly less prominent.
3
Precise Removal
The process takes from a few minutes to an hour or more, depending on the size and type of blemish. Dr. Robinson’s precision ensures minimal impact on surrounding healthy skin.
4
Personalized Post-Care Regimen
Dr. Robinson recommends a personalized skin care regimen to use while the site heals and advises on sun protection — critical steps for the best long-term result.
03Recovery
Recovery & Aftercare
There’s no downtime following cosmetic blemish removal, but you may experience some mild swelling, bruising or redness in the days following your procedure. These are temporary and resolve naturally as the skin heals.
Dr. Robinson will recommend a personalized skin care regimen to use while the treatment site heals and will advise you to protect it from direct sun exposure for the best results and to minimize any risk of discoloration. With proper aftercare, treated areas heal smoothly and any evidence of the procedure fades over time — leaving behind clear, refreshed, unblemished skin.
Sun Protection EssentialProtect the treated area from direct sun exposure to prevent discoloration and promote healing. Personalized Skin CareDr. Robinson prescribes a custom post-procedure skincare regimen tailored to your skin type and site. Mild Swelling & RednessSome mild swelling, bruising or redness is normal in the days after treatment — this resolves naturally. No DowntimeYou can return to normal daily activities immediately following your blemish removal procedure.
