Patient Information Sheet: Radiesse® for Chest, Arm, and Leg Rejuvenation
Radiesse® is an FDA-approved biostimulatory dermal filler composed of calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) microspheres in a gel carrier. While initially used for facial volumization, Radiesse has become a popular treatment for rejuvenating aging or lax skin of the décolletage (chest), upper arms (bat wings), thighs, and knees by improving contour, restoring volume, and reducing the appearance of wrinkles and skin folds.
Injected into the subdermal plane, Radiesse provides immediate volume and support while stimulating collagen and elastin production over time. This dual-action mechanism results in smoother, firmer skin with improved tone and texture.
Treatment Areas & Benefits:
- Chest (Décolletage): Smooths horizontal lines and sun damage-related wrinkles.
- Upper Arms: Improves laxity, softens crepey texture.
- Thighs & Knees: Enhances firmness and contour in aging or sagging skin.
- Longevity: Results typically last 12–18 months, depending on the treatment area and patient metabolism.
- Minimal downtime and performed in-office with local anesthesia.
Common Side Effects: Mild swelling, bruising, or tenderness at the injection site. Patients usually resume normal activity within 24–48 hours.
